LASC Remote Hearing Check-In Guide for Reporters
This guide is for reference only and assumes that you are a California CSR with a valid license in good standing.
Step 1: Prepare Required Documents
Prepare one of the following documents, signed, to email to the department clerk on the morning of the hearing:
Stipulation and Order to Use Certified Shorthand Reporter (LASC CIV 236 Rev. 06/23)
Order Appointing Court-Approved Reporter as Official Reporter Pro Tempore (LASC CIV 237 Rev. 04/25)
Email the signed document to the clerk of the department

Step 2: Access LACourtConnect
Go to lacourt.ca.gov
Click on Remote Hearings
(www.lacourt.org)
Click on Civil (or the appropriate litigation type)
(LACourtConnect Homepage, lacc.lacourt.org) You could come straight here and bypass lacourt.org homepage.
You will be taken to the LACourtConnect Same Day Check-In page
Step 3: Enter Case Information
Enter the case number
Welcome to LACourtConnect Same Day Check-in
The system will display hearing(s) scheduled for the same day
Type in the case number and then click “Search,” then click on “Select.”
Click Select
If multiple hearings are scheduled at the same time, a dialog box will appear
You can check in for all hearings at once
If there are multiple hearings scheduled for the same time, you will be prompted to check in for all hearings scheduled.
Step 4: Provide Your Email Address
Enter your email address
Select "Other" (because court reporters are not listed as a party in the case)
Click Check in
Part 1 of a 2-part Remote Appearance Check-in.
Step 5: Enter Attendee Information
You will be prompted to enter:
Attendee Name (your name)
Attendee Role (Court Reporter)
On whose behalf you are reporting (the party who retained you)
Click Check in
